Description
The day starts around 9:00 a.m. with pickup and transfer to the dive centre. After completing formalities and a safety briefing, you will check and prepare your equipment. Depending on the dive site, access is by foot or vehicle.
The tour includes two dives with a rest break in between to relax and have a drink. Following the second dive, you return to the dive centre and are transported back to the original pickup point. The activity finishes around 2:30 p.m.
Dive Sites
- Playa Flamingo: The house reef with excellent visibility, home to schools of bastard grunt, barracudas, salema, striped seabream, bogue, sand smelt, sardines, and tuna. The sandy bottom shelters species such as the spotted torpedo, angel sharks, and spiny butterfly ray. Depth ranges from 0 to 18 meters. Recommended for Open Water Divers (OWD) and Advanced Open Water Divers (AOWD).
- Timanfaya Reef: A relaxed dive starting near the Timanfaya Hotel beach, following the reef to Playa Flamingo. The gentle current aids the swim. Common sightings include rays, sardines, barracuda, and angel sharks. Dive time is 45-60 minutes with a maximum depth of 18 meters. Suitable for all training levels.
