The Lanzarote Aquarium features over one million liters of water across 33 aquariums showcasing a wide variety of marine species. Located in the Canary Islands zone, the aquarium houses species such as page fish, octopuses, seabream, and moray eels. The freshwater section displays animals including axolotls.
The tropical zone contains colorful fish and coral reefs, while the open sea section is home to sharks, guitarfish, rays, and some of the largest species found in Canary waters. The aquarium also operates the Lanzarote Turtle Rehabilitation Center, where rescued turtles are cared for and released back into their natural habitat once healthy.
This educational experience aims to deepen visitors' understanding of marine ecosystems and promote marine conservation awareness, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.
